Gas Springs

Gas springs are used to provide counterbalance and force assistance in applications requiring a convenient and reliable adjustment function.  Compared to mechanical springs, for many applications, gas springs offer remarkable features.

They are a proven and reliable method of counterbalancing large covers and objects.  They offer ideal capabilities for safely lifting, lowering and positioning heavy or cumbersome objects. Compact design, high  level  of  operating  convenience  and safety in use are some  of  the  reasons  for  the  constant  growth  in  the  use  of  gas springs for the most varied of applications.

The company follows stringent quality policies. Production control  begins with all purchased raw materials  being thoroughly tested  to  ensure  they  meet  standards  for  precision  manufacturing. Modern production quality  control, based  upon SPC  and  Taguchi  techniques,  ensure  that the  strictest quality standards are met. These quality standards are supported by superior systems and a well qualified control and manufacturing team.

Duroshox  has  been  accredited  with  the  ISO 9001  certification  and  is  presently  working  on certification. Additionally, the company is working with the Kaizen Institute, Japan to implement the Kaizen systems for higher productivity and efficiency. The company has an elaborate laboratory equipped with the requisite testing facilities.

Customized Design

A gas spring is a sealed cylinder consisting of some dedicated basic components: rod, tube, piston, seals and end attachments. It contains pressurized inert gas and a small amount of oil. Although we use standard components, we custom design and manufacture many products to meet specific needs

Duro Lift (Non Lockable)

Duro Lift These  gas  springs  are  primarily  used  for  lifting  and  counter balancing  light  to  heavy weight applications.  Duro Lift can be designed with an approximately linear, progressive or digressive spring rate curve, to match the particular need.

The  installation  of  these  springs  becomes  simple  due  to  their  compactness,  reliability, light weight and smooth & speed-controlled operation.

Application: Duro  lift  gas  springs  are  used  in  a  wide  range  of  applications in general vehicle engineering, examples being superstructures, bodies and vehicles.

These gas springs open, adjust and close hoods, covers, hatches, doors and casings in a controlled and damped movement. These gas springs find a wide application in cars and hatchbacks.

Duro Block (Lockable)

Duro Block Duro Block operates on a similar principle as the Duro Lift. This type of gas spring features an integrated valve and be blocked in any desired position. When the valve is closed, the gas spring is fixed which enables it to be blocked in any desired position.

If the actuator pin plunger is operated, the valve is opened and the gas spring unit can be moved into any desired position. The extension speed and the damping can be varied based on the requirement in different applications.

Application: Duro  block  gas  springs  are  used  in  a  wide  range  of  applications with major usage for seat reclining.
